Al-Shamim Welfare Trust

Our journey began in November 2010 on a small scale by a group of highly motivated intellectuals, social workers, lawyers, doctors, engineers and business executives, who had the passion for philanthropy. In the last 07 years since our formation, Al-Shamim Welfare Trust® has provided medical care, education assistance, food aid, poverty relief, famine relief and community development in disaster areas, war torn countries and many rural and poverty stricken areas of the world, serving millions of needy and helpless people living in abject poverty and squalid conditions.

Al-Shamim Welfare Trust® started its operations in the UK in 2013. In a short space of time we have built our reputation and gained recognition by donors in the UK as a charity that is well structured, trust worthy and fully transparent.

Everyone has a right to standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services

Eye Restoration Programme in Bangladesh
Al-Shamim Welfare Trust® has been delivering emergency relief projects where ever the need arises. The continuing oppression and conflict in Gaza, especially in November 2012 had a profound effect on its communities.

Blindness caused by eye diseases is 10 times more common in Gaza than in developed countries. Over 50% of the people in the Palestinian Territories, one of the world’s fastest growing populations, are now under the age of 18, and the majority live below the poverty line.

Al-Shamim Welfare Trust® has been working on the ground, with the assistance of local partners to help war torn communities with food aid, medical relief, eye care programs and orphan sponsorship.

We have ensured that communities do have access to food, health and specialist eye care. Our local team has arranged mobile eye clinics for 100 children in December 2012 in Gaza, and ensured food and clean water supplies to over 100 families.
